After 20 plus years in the insurance industry, Misty Schlecht has seen it all. Her southern roots have made her tough and persistent. Misty is NOT afraid to stand up and fight on behalf of her clients. Misty is a straight shooter and is always looking out for the client. When aggressive negotiations do not work, Misty can usually charm the insurance carriers and win over most any insurance company’s underwriter or claims adjuster. While in Texas, Misty worked for a $47 billion dollar insurance agency, Misty was consistently recognized as a Top Performer. She handled Large Corporate Property & Casualty insured clients and handled theses very affluent people’s personal insurance needs. Misty also worked with municipalities and colleges. While Misty has strengths in all areas of Property and Casualty, she is especially knowledgeable about Profession Liability, with an emphasis on the Construction and Design industries, as well as Law Firms and the Medical industry. Misty truly loves what she does, and her enthusiasm shows it, even over the phone.

Jacob joined Niedermeyer Risk Management with a background in Human Resources. By pairing his prior experience with an enthusiasm for insurance, Jacob has quickly become an invaluable resource for NRM clients (and, of course, a blast to talk to at parties). With a firm belief that modern insurance agents' services should go beyond selling insurance, Jacob works closely with clients to develop tailored operational, human resources, and risk management solutions. In his free time, Jacob remains a self-admitted “nerd”. A typical day begins with some home roasted coffee, followed by tinkering with tech or a walk through the local park.
Brooklyn has joined the Niedermeyer Team from the local wine industry where she managed Private Client Relations. She brings an enthusiastic positive attitude and finds great satisfaction in the development of tailored resolutions through a creative problem-solving process. While away from the office, you will often find her with a paint brush in hand or out on the trails seeking inspiration for her next canvas scene.
Michael is a fantastic addition to the Niedermeyer Team, with a diverse background in both HR and Paralegal work. While serving in the US Navy as a Psychiatric Technician, he worked with doctors to conduct patient assessments and provide therapy for mental health patients. Additionally, he was responsible for the development of sailors under his direct supervision. After 5 years in the Navy, Michael came to Oregon and earned his Associates as a Paralegal from Portland Community College. He previously worked with an Estate Planning firm before joining NRM.
